The most crucial aspect of your wedding budget is that you must – Start discussing the budget BEFORE the wedding planning begins. Go over exact amounts of money with your significant other & make decisions together regarding what to invest in & how much. Figure out who will be paying for what, & what each side has to offer. I would recommend doing this in a pleasant atmosphere, like at the beach or a coffee shop, not at home by the kitchen table.

Another good way to establish a handsome budget would be to start saving money early in advance, attempt to put a portion aside every month or two weeks, that way when you have to pay for things you will not have to go bankrupt. You’ll probably also have more to spend on the wedding & planning if you save up for a significant amount of time. Instead of spending money on cocktails in a bar, you & your lover should buy a bottle of wine & drink it on the beach. Do not eat out every other night. Try not to spend excessively & so on.

It is crucial that you remember to follow your budget when seeking out services. If you agreed on $450 to go towards beach centerpieces, then you’ll seek out some one who will do those centerpieces for the alloted amount. Do not begin negotiating before you have established the amount of money that you can invest in an item. Planning doesn’t only help ease your nerves, but it also will ensure that you’ll make decisions much more easily & narrow down the plentiful amount of options that are available.

If there’re certain items that you discover you can create yourself or have some one help you create a home-made item, it would be very wise to do so & the amount of money you designated for that item in your budget, can be invested in a different category or divided up to be added to a few different categories. Either way, if you can save some money by doing something yourself, then you should do so.

After you draw up the budget, put it aside & forget about it for a few days. have fun with each other & let the information settle in. After a few days of horsing around, have a look at your budget & see if you both still agree to it… If you see things that you do not agree with, make changes, You should give yourselves a one week deadline & by then you should have a budget that you both agree on & are happy :) about.

Make sure you plan from the beginning & take this planning process seriously. You do not want to start arguing with your lover about money or finances. It would only add stress & make things unpleasant to deal with. Planning & preparation are the keys to a successful wedding.
