How does a wedding planner works with the videographer?
I am a videographer (HDV) and cinematographer (super 8mm) for weddings based in Los Angeles, CA. I would like to work with a wedding planner in order to increase my portfolio. What’s the deal when a videographer works with a wedding planner in terms of money and contracts?
If you know about it please let me know.
Thankyou.

As a wedding planner, it is my job to make sure that all deposits and balances are paid. I am also able to keep you busy. If I like your work, I will use you exclusively for all my weddings, reunions and other functions. Together, we can work out rates where both of us are making money. For instance, if you normally charge $1200, we can arrange for you to charge $900 in return for my continued bookings. I would make the additional $300. I would also use you in all of my advertising and you would get a photo credit on my website. I would also have the list of all the people that the couple wants on film. There is nothing worse than missing special loved ones after the fact. Good Luck.
