Will You Be On Your Own On Valentines Day?
Nobody likes to be on their own on Valentines Day. It’s one of the days in the calendar that people are reminded to love & cherish one another. Some people may select to be on their own & others may not have the choice because of circumstances surrounding their work & family. But, there’re still ways you can celebrate Valentines Day when you’re apart.
If you & your partner work in different towns & you have to travel to see each other maybe only at the weekend & holidays you’ll probably be spending Valentines Day apart. You could celebrate Valentines Day on the weekend when you meet up & make it an extra special one. On the day, you could telephone each other & have a long conversation or perhaps send your partner an intimate email telling them your plans for the weekend. The suspense will keep them guessing until you next see each other.
If you’re on your own because your partner had to go away on a business trip at the last minute, or because they work shifts, (these include a variety of professions, for example; nurses, fire fighters, oil rig workers & police officers), you may feel disappointed. But, you could make arrangements to have a meal or spend a romantic day together before Valentines Day & think of each other on the day.
If your partner is in the forces you may know that they will be going away around Valentines Day, you can make your plans in advance. Take them out to their favorite restaurant or cook them their favorite meal & exchange gifts. As a special treat for their return arrange for some one to have the kids, book the two of you into a hotel & have a romantic weekend away.
If you’re on your own because you select to be contact some of your single friends & arrange a singles party, or invite a friend out for a meal, go straight to the movies or spend a night in having a take out & a bottle of wine.
If you’re searching for a date, put your profile up on some of the on line dating sites. There is more. There’re lots to select from. Alternatively, consider holding a party & invite each of your single friends. Let your hair down & play some party games, it can be lots of fun particularly of there is some one in the room that you have liked for a while & have not plucked up the courage to speak to them. The games may be a good ice breaker & you never know, you may find that special someone. If you do not at least you have had a good night.
Finally, just because you’re on your own either by choice or circumstances you do not need to be sad
& unhappy. Valentines Day only happens once a year. Whatever you select to do, make certain you enjoy it.
