Homemade Valentines Day Candy
Make your Valentine feel even more special this year by taking the time to make your very own Valentine chocolates.
You can get a pretty box for the candy & some mini cupcake holders to put each piece of candy in.
You can find a candy recipe for your loved ones favorite candy or attempt one of these:
Chocolate Truffles
1 1/2 (12 oz ) bag of sweet chocolate
1 – 15 oz sweetened condensed milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
grated chocolate
Melt chocolate in double boiler or howeveryou prefer. Add milk, salt & vanilla & stir until smooth & thick. Remove from stove & cool. When cool
use butter on your fingers & take about 1 teaspoon of mixture & roll into balls & coat with grated chocolate. You can also roll the balls in red & white sprinkles for some color & then put in your mini cupcake holders.
Peanut Butter Balls
1 cup butter
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar
6 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
Melt butter & stir in the peanut butter, add powdered sugar & mix until smooth & then roll into balls ( If you really need to you can add more powdered sugar to make them stiff enough to roll)
Melt the chocolate chips & then dip the balls into the chocolate & put on a plate to cool. When they have cooled you can then move them to your mini cupcake holders & into your box.
You can use a toothpick, skewer or fork to dip the balls into the chocolate.
Now you’re ready to show your Valentine how much you care with a special box of homemade chocolates.
