Question by Sad Sack: How does Valentine’s Day affect you when you’re alone without a partner or sweetheart? To me it hurts. I start to notice more the happy couples walking hand-in-hand or shopping together in the malls and I envy them for their happiness. I see the men in stores buying gifts and flowers for their wives and sweethearts and think how lucky they are to have someone. Yes to some it’s a tacky holiday invented by businessmen to make money. Answer by HeatherrrrrrrrYou are contradicting yourself. You want to be his friend and you are attracted to him. Either you want to be friends or you want more. No in between.

How often does a man grow on you when you’re not attracted to him?

I’m ready to go out on a second date with a really nice guy, but I don’t find him attractive, although I am not repulsed by him. A man has never grown on me when I’m not attracted to him, but it has been a long time since I’ve been on a date where I wasn’t attracted to the guy. I feel that it is black & white, either you’re not attracted to the guy instantly or you are. Do you agree?

I’m single and only have been for a month. Don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty content and I enjoy my single status most of the time. I am really attracted to him, he has a girlfriend they’ve been together for 6 years! I think they have broken up a few times, but I would NEVER interfere with that kind of relationship, but I still want to get to know him more.
