* Do it the old fashioned way. Get down on one knee with a rose clenched in your teeth and the ring in your hand and ask her “Will you marry me?”
* Write “will you marry me” in chalk on the street outside her house or flat in big enough letters so that she will notice it.
* Phone up your local radio station and get them to pop the question for you over the air at a time that you know she will be listening. Then dedicate a song to her.
* Create a web page all about your life together. Upload photos of you together and at places that you went and that mean a lot to you. Announce your love by proposing, send the web address and wait for the reply.
* Wrap a large box and fill with smaller boxes and keep the ring in the smallest box which will be the last box she opens. Or alternatively wrap a large box and fill with those tiny foam pieces and let her look for the small box inside.
* Take her away for the weekend and when you are on your last day pop the question.
* Take her to the place you first met or your favorite place and give her the ring wrapped in gift paper. Tell her that you have gotten her a gift to show how much you love her and when she opens it tell her that you want to spend the rest of your life with her.
* Cook your loved one a romantic meal and place a note around a candle asking her to marry you.
* Give your girlfriend a foot massage and place the ring on her little toe.
* Buy her a watch and have it inscribed “marry me.”
* Serve her oysters in bed with the ring inside the shell.
* Spell your proposal out in glow-in-the-dark star stickers on your ceiling. Climb on top of her and wait for the yes, yes, yes.
* Leave a trail of notes for your partner to follow and when he/she reaches the end you will be standing there with the last note saying “Will you marry me?”.
* Take your partner to the beach and write “Will you marry me?” in big letters in the sand.
* Sneak in to her home and fill it to the rafters with flowers and in the middle sit a teddy bear holding the ring and a note asking her to marry you.
* Send her 4 balloons with the words “Will you marry me?” written on them.
* If you are brave enough get a tattoo done with “Will you marry me?” but only if you are sure that she is the right one and once she has accepted finish it off with the date of your engagement and marriage.
* Or if you are the sensible, unromantic type, you could just try sitting down and having a chat about getting married and suggesting that it is about time the two of you did so.
Recreate your first date. This will bring back a flood of fond memories and will put her in the right mood for your proposal. Chances are she’ll also appreciate your thoughtfulness in trying to recreate that special experience.
Plan a surprise picnic. Consider taking your beloved to the woods or to a Southern California beach for a romantic picnic. At the picnic site, you might consider spelling out the words “Marry me” with stones or seashells.
Bring out the bubbly. During dinner, serve your girlfriend a glass of champagne with the engagement ring in the bottom of the glass. You’re then in a perfect position to toast your future together. It’s hard for a girl to pass up a ring when it comes in such elegant packaging. (One fun and elegant location to have the bubbly served is at an upscale Las Vegas hotel. The lights of the strip at night coupled with the glamour, fun and upscale service that can be found in Vegas, might just make the perfect backdrop.)
Pop the question in a cookie. Consider dining together at your favorite Chinese restaurant. Have the waiter serve her a fortune cookie with “Will you marry me?” hidden inside. It’s the type of dessert she’ll never forget.
The Christmas tree proposal. At Christmas, invite her over to your place to view your Christmas tree. Make sure that the tree is lighted, but has only a single decoration—an engagement ring. In all likelihood, her heart will melt once she sees her ring adorning your yuletide tree.
Spell out your proposal with style. Get her a “just because” gift. Purchase an elegant charm bracelet. Have the charms on it be letters that spell out your special request “M-A-R-R-Y M-E”. Place the gift at her place setting during a special dinner.

I think it would be romantic if you took her on a carriage ride one evening and then you have her flowers but tie the engagement ring on the large bow tied around the boutique but don’t give them to her until later in the ride so have the driver hide them or hold on to them for you
or
You could propose at a weekend spa getaway when you two get massages together ~ propose when you get to put the mud on her or massage her ~ tell the person you would like to have a bit of time alone and do it then

Well, you know her better than anyone – so try and think of something that SHE would like. Maybe think back to a perfect date you had or a special place you went with special memories. Does she like surprises (not everyone does!)? If not , keep it simple and go old fashioned down onone knee. I think also better to do it in private rather than in a restaurant or somewhere public – but that’s me not her!

I say be original! Take her to a spot that is a favorite to both of you. A special restaurant, park, area of town, city, etc.
Just think with your heart. Congratulations!

How about a proposal through a song? http://www.Give-A-Song.com can use the details you give them to create a proposal song – it can be all about how much you love her, and the last line could be something like ‘will you marry me’? You could play it to her, and then, at the end of the song, get down on one knee. Or you could sing along. Very romantic!
