I know that there definitely used to be, and some ppl still think it’s a joke that only lame ppl do, but as more and more ppl use it, it’s becoming more normal

Stigma is something that will remain till…the online dating exists…. like spamming and piracy is related to Internet… so you cannot get rid of it… however you can avoid falling in to such scams by being cautious about it… be aware of fake profiles over these sites and be happy.. all the best

I really think the stigma has mostly gone away. I know so many so-called normal people who met through online dating and it’s just totally accepted and not a secret. I think it’s gone totally mainstream. Try it out. And don’t worry if one or two of your friends tries to make you think it’s lame — if you meet someone great on there, how can they be critical?
