Your bedroom is the room you should focus on to make a romantic atmosphere Some men have a knack for creating a romantic bedroom, but most men do not. With a little effort, it’s easy to ignite romance with some simple romantic additions to your bedroom.

One of the fastest ways to enhance the romantic ambiance of your bedroom is by using interior decorators. Some interior decorators specialize in creating romantic environments. A professional can turn your bedroom into a place where romance can flourish.

If your budget does not allow for hire an interior designer, you can follow these simple ideas to make your stagnant, dull bedroom into a romantic paradise:

* Dim The Lights. Dimmed lights can make a room into a place of romance. dim lighting sets a relaxing, comforting and romantic vibe for your bedroom.

* A Comfortable Bed. a simple way to make your bedroom more romantic is by making your bed more comfortable. It’s time to get rid of that old blanket and buy a new full bedding set with high quality fabrics. This is an item you should be willing to spend good money on as it has such a high impact. Be sure to get a pattern that is romantic – more importantly: a pattern that is romantic to her.

* Nothing sets a romantic tone better than good, slow or soft, music. Buy a discrete stereo system with a remote control that will enable you to control it from all areas of the room. A great romantic idea is to pick some tunes from when you first met your wife, which can instantly transport the two of you to those romantic times.

* Candles always add to the romance component of any room, and your bedroom is no different Just be sure to get calming, gentle scents as opposed to overpowering strong scented candles

* You may not want to focus only on the bedroom decoration; try making your wife feel romantic and sexy with some lingerie. Pay attention to the fabrics, styles and colors that will Be sure to get styles she feels comfortable in. You want her to feel sexy, not self conscious.

Not all of these romance tips work for everybody and not every couple is the same. It is important to experiment and find out what works best for you and your wife. Change things to suit your moods and your needs and you’ll find a huge improvement in your romance levels by simply making these changes in your bedroom.

If you get stuck, a great resource for romantic bedroom ideas is in magazines showing romantic bedrooms and pictures of bed and breakfast hotel rooms, which are designed to maximize romantic pleasure. With a little effort, you will succeed at making your bedroom a romantic getaway.

What are things to do on each anniversary? P.S. I’ve never been married, but I’m just wondering for the future.

Answer by Ryde.On
A word of advice .
Start very low on the scale with ” cute ” and ” sweet gesture ” because you will have to top yourself each year and if you get too fabulous , too soon you will end up having to buy her a private jet or a luxury yacht before your 20th.

Why is it that so many peoples believe that they don’t have time or take the try to be romantic? Maybe most people don’t believe that they are creative enough to be romantic. Everyone is creative! The definition of being creative is having the ability or power to create. The word create offers a much broader definition than most people accept when it comes to the process of being able to come up with something original or simply well thought out.

Gifts that are considered to be traditionally romantic like candy and flowers are wonderful, but sometimes you need something that goes one step further. If your spouse enjoys flowers, you don’t have to settle for roses because they can sometimes become unexciting after a while! Present him or her with something completely original such as a daisy or another flower where petals can be counted.

Ask him or her to play the childhood game of ‘they love me, they love me not’ and watch them pluck the petals as they go. However, don’t allow for the possibility of him or her arriving at the ‘they love me not’. Count the petals before you present the flower to your spouse and trim it so that there is an odd number of petals for the right outcome!

Arts and crafts used to be a fun break from the monotony of the school day, but believe it or not, it will come in handy when it comes to creative romantic gestures. Instead of promising that you will love him or her forever, show them. Take a piece of paper, ribbon or other material you choose and write “I love you” on both sides from end to end.

Twist the paper 180 degrees and connect both ends of the paper until you have mad what looks like the figure eight. Tape or glue to ends together. You can present your love with a symbol that shows them your love for them is an endless love.

Creativity comes in many different forms! Being creative can mean creating an atmosphere. If you want to plan the ultimate romantic evening but funds are low or you simply don’t want to have to leave the house, shut down the electricity and imitate a power outage (it’s up to you whether or not you tell him or her!).

You won’t have any distractions or heat, so it is up to both of you to keep the other warm and entertain each other.

Maybe romance is on your mind, but he or she is going out of town. Did you know that people on airplanes are typically hopeless romantics? Any flight attendant would be more than happy to make sure that your spouse receives a special present after the flight has left the ground.

Simply approach a crewmember after he or she boards the plane and they are usually more than happy to oblige a hopeless romantic like you! (You might want to make sure that the gift is unwrapped or keep it to a single rose due to heightened security.)

Creativity doesn’t have to come in the form of gifts every single time. Gestures like getting up and dancing with your spouse when a special song comes on the radio is quite creative and incredibly romantic! Whenever the mood strikes you, allow your creative juices to flow!

The study’s lead researcher, Bianca P. Acevedo, PhD, from the University of California, Santa Barbara, said that many people identify romantic love as passionate love, which, in her opinion, is not true. The scientist explained that romantic love has the same intensity, involvement and sexual chemistry, that has the passionate love, with the exception of an obsession. Obsessive love is always accompanied by feelings such as anxiety and uncertainty, and never survives for a long time.

To come up with this conclusion, Dr. Acevedo and co-author Arthur Aron, PhD, analyzed 25 studies with more than 6,000 individuals that were engaged in the short-term and long-term relationships. The researchers planned to figure out if romantic love was associated with more satisfaction in a relationship. In several studies, the relationships were classified as romantic, passionate/obsessive, or friendship-like love, and categorized as the short- or long-term.

The first study involved 17 short-term relationships of single, dating or married college students with the ages between 18 and 23, whose relationships lasted less than 4 years. The second study analyzed 10 long-term relationships of middle-aged couples, with the marriage experience of 10 years or more. And, finally, two other studies included both the long- and short-term relationships in which it was pretty much possible to distinguish the two samples.

The results revealed that those individuals who said that they had a great romantic love, were much more satisfied in both the short- and long-term relationships. Participants from both the short- and long-term relationships, who reported that their love was mostly based on friendship, only moderately associated their relationship with complete satisfaction, and those who reported passionate love in their relationships, were more likely to be satisfied for the short period of time, rather than the long term. Also, couples who expressed the most satisfaction with their partner, turned out to be much happier and had higher self-esteem.

According to Dr. Acevedo, when partners feel and know that they are there for each other, it always creates a strong bond between them, and leads to a good relationship, which, in turn, contributes to stronger feelings of romantic love. On the contrary, when people start feeling insecure and jealous, they start also experiencing less satisfaction, which in many cases leads to misunderstandings and conflicts in the relationships. All this can point to the signs of an obsessive love, she said.

This new findings may change people’s perceptions and expectations of what they really want in long-term relationships. The scientists wrote that companionship, or friendship-type love, which is what people usually see and expect as the natural transformation of any happy relationship, may be an unnecessary compromise. Partners should fight for their love with all the possible means, Acevedo said. And couples who have been together for many years and wish to rekindle their romantic feelings, should remember that this is an attainable goal that, like most good things in life, requires patience, energy and devotion, she concluded.

The new findings are reported in the latest issue of the journal Review of General Psychology, which is published by the American Psychological Association.
