Question by Don S: What is the purpose of the “honeymoon” following a wedding? An expensive event for what? It used to be that honeymoon was a time and place set to consummate marriage after the wedding. But many couples already live together before they get married and I would guess that they (couples) do something else other than eating crackers in bed.
