Answer by Tryna-Hyde
tell her to put the envelope in a bigger, brown envelope with no return address on it and mail it to him certified mail. he’ll have to sign for it to even accept the package. if he doesn’t sign, at least she’ll have proof of her attempt.

Article by Danica Reynes

Some pertinent questions you should ask before you consider getting a divorce are the following: what is your reason for considering divorce, are there any covert reasons behind your decision, are you aware of the consequences involved, and will you be able to act maturely after the divorce.

Divorce can be a stressful and difficult decision to make. If not thought through properly, it could cause significant damage to both the couple and their children. If divorce is a consideration, sit down with a Divorce Attorney Southfield today. Asking the following questions will help you determine whether divorce is a wise option:

Mull over your reasons for obtaining a divorce and ask yourself?

The first and most basic question that you and your spouse should ask is why you are considering divorce. If you don’t properly identify your reasons for considering it, instead of a solution, divorce itself could become another problem. If a fight was involved, let things cool off before breaching the subject again. Discussing the reasons will allow you and your mate enough time to relax and have clear thoughts. Remember, when overwhelmed by negative emotions or out of impulse, you should not be deciding on divorce.

Are there any covert reasons behind your decision?

Before talking to your spouse about a divorce, think long and hard. Ask yourself a tough question. Do I have my own agenda for doing this? Try resolving your issues before you decide to leave each other. One example of this is mentioning divorce as a way of voicing frustrations about your marriage, or just to manipulate or threaten your partner. If this is the case, then divorce might not be the solution you are looking for. Marriage counseling or therapy might be a good first step.

Are the consequences clear to you?

There are a number of things to take into account when thinking about ending your marriage. You and your spouse’s goals as a couple and as individuals can be affected, should be kept in mind. It is a stressful situation and affects your emotions and finance. Children and other family members gets affected by divorce. Have a clear understanding of the possible negative effects of your decision and whether you are capable or at least willing to face these consequences. Ask yourself if you have the ability to help your children cope, or if you have a support system that is readily available to help you through the painful divorce process. Denying or repressing the negative aspects of the divorce will only make things harder for you and later on other people involved with you in this divorce.

Will you be able to act maturely after the divorce?

Don’t consider divorce as just a one time legal occurrence to break up a relationship because the experience lingers on past the legal matters. Ask yourself if you are willing to take responsibility for the decision you made and whether you are willing to let go of any resentments you have towards your spouse. Your success in moving forward and starting a new life after your divorce will depend on your mindset.

Getting a divorce is a major move, and a couple should thoroughly think about it before moving ahead. Its negative effects can become long-term if the decision is not thought through properly.
