Actaully right away. you dont’ have to wait but you have to be careful of what state you are in. if you are filing for divorce then i would think you could date but then again they can bring some of the dates in for questionsing. its very hard to tell from where you are.

If your partner was simply a dirt bag, and you were oblivious to it, try to focus on the character of your next potential partner, not through their words, but solely through their actions. Some people tend to put up a veil and imagine people into something they’re not. If you see yourself doing this fight it as best as you can.
After you get closure on your last relationship, focus on yourself. Find things you enjoy doing(book clubs, art classes, etc). Find ways to make it on your own, and be happy. Its a proven fact that happy, self sufficient people are more attractive than sad needy people(not that you are one, just a generalization to consider)
Also, don’t pretend to be something your not to lure a partner in. You will both be happier if you can be yourself 100%.
That being said, don’t rush into another relationship. I found my current fiance through an online social network. I met a lot of wonderful friends in the process. I would not recommend a bar or night club. If you have trouble meeting people through activities you enjoy, I would recommend using an online dating service, but only when you feel you are ready.
